Recently, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce released the “2026 List of the Top 500 Private Enterprises by Invention Patents” and the “2026 List of the Top 500 Private Enterprises by R&D Investment.” Thanks to its outstanding independent innovation capabilities and long-term, sustained R&D investment, JinkoSolar made it onto both lists, ranking first among photovoltaic module manufacturers on each. It has become the company with the most invention patents and the highest R&D investment in China’s photovoltaic module sector.
JinkoSolar has consistently prioritized R&D and innovation as a strategic focus, with cumulative R&D investment exceeding 22 billion yuan from 2021 to 2025. According to the “2026 List of the Top 500 Private Enterprises by R&D Investment” released by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, JinkoSolar ranked 22nd—the only photovoltaic company to make it into the top 30—and topped the list for invention patents in China’s photovoltaic sector.
To date, JinkoSolar has filed over 6,500 patent applications globally and holds more than 4,000 valid authorized patents. JinkoSolar’s substantial R&D investment has directly translated into technological breakthroughs, achieving an N-type TOPCon cell efficiency of 27.79%, perovskite/TOPCon tandem cell efficiency has surpassed 34.82%, and the company has broken world records for cell and module efficiency and power output a cumulative 33 times, continuing to lead the direction of technological advancement in the industry.
