Calendar Week 27 was another one with almost no price movements for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, where most products listed maintained their prices from CW26.
All polysilicon types listed were stable WoW; however, all products have seen price declines MoM, ranging from –3.9% to –5.1%.
Wafer prices continued their stable streak for the 6th week running, with no price changes seen since CW21.
Cell prices were stable both WoW and MoM.
The only product to see any price changes this week was the PERC monofacial module, declining –3.8% WoW.
Solar glass prices continue to be stable WoW after the 3.2 mm (thicker) variant saw a 2.0% increase in CW15.
All products listed in the TaiyangNews PV Price Index have seen considerable declines in CY2024. While global polysilicon maintains its price levels, all Chinese polysilicon types have crossed the –40.2% mark YtD. Among wafers, the n-type 182 mm variant has lost exactly half its value YtD, at –50.0%. Cell prices have registered up to a –37.5% decline YtD, while modules have been relatively stable so far this year, losing only up to –20.6%.
