The Calendar Year 2025 started off on a mixed note for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, with 3 products registering price increases and the same number seeing declines
Polysilicon prices were flat Week-on-Week (WoW) from CW52/2024.
The n-type 210R wafer prices were up 4.2% WoW in Calendar Week 1/2025.
The n-type 210 mm and bifacial 210R TOPCon cells were up 1.8% WoW in CW1, bringing their prices at par with n-type 182 mm cells at RMB 0.29/W.
All 3 listed PERC module types experienced price declines ranging from 0.7% to 3.0% WoW.
After seeing high-single-digit declines in the last week of CY2024, solar glass varieties maintained their prices WoW in CW1/2025.
The TaiyangNews PV Price Index has started off on a mixed note in CY2025. While some n-type wafer and cell prices saw an uptick in CW1, all 3 PERC module types experienced a decline, probably setting a precedent for the year.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
