
The TaiyangNews PV Price Index seems to have broken its upward trend in CY2025, with 8 listed products seeing price decreases in Calendar Week 16.
Polysilicon prices continue to remain stable for 14 weeks straight, after seeing an uptick in CW2.
While p-type wafer prices are conspicuous by their absence, the n-type 210 and 210R wafers declined 1.9% and 2.0% WoW.
All 3 TOPCon cell types saw declines in CW16, with the bifacial TOPCon 210R cell dropping the most, down 10.6%.
While PERC and BC modules were flat WoW, the TOPCon 182 mm module declined 2.7%, TOPCon 210 mm 4.0%, and the HJT module type was down 4.4% from CW15.
The 2 solar glass varieties, although up over 20% YtD, remained flat WoW.
CW16 was an overall negative week for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, the first such week seen this year. However, Calendar Year 2025 has been a positive one for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, with 13 of the 25 tracked products registering price increases YtD.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
