After several weeks of steady declines across segments, the TaiyangNews PV Price Index showed signs of stabilization in Calendar Week 23.
In the polysilicon category, only Chinese n-type silicon and granular silicon have registered year-to-date (YtD) declines, down by 9.9% and 4.1%, respectively.
Among wafers, n-type variants have dropped between 9.3% and 13.6% YtD, while p-type wafers appear to have been phased out of the market entirely.
All cell variants, except p-type 210 mm, have seen YtD price decreases between 1.8% and 10.5%.
TOPCon bifacial module prices, which had risen consistently through the early months of the year, have since reversed those gains and now sit below their starting levels in CY2025.
Solar glass stands out as the only category to post positive gains so far this calendar year.
Although prices were flat week-over-week in CW23, the broader downtrend remains evident. Most n-type products continue to decline across the value chain, with just 3 of the 25 products tracked by the PV Price Index currently in positive territory YtD.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
