
In Calendar Week 27, the TaiyangNews PV Price Index recorded movement in 2 product categories, while others held steady.
Granular silicon prices rose by 5.8% week-on-week (WoW), while the other types remained unchanged.
Following last week’s declines, n-type wafer prices stabilized WoW. p-Type wafers continue to be absent.
An important development this week is the absence of prices for p-type cells, hinting at the technology’s continued phase-out from the market. Meanwhile, n-Type cells saw broad-based declines in the range of 3.9% to 4.3% WoW.
All listed module types maintained their prices in CW27.
Solar glass prices were flat in CW27, following a week of steep declines.
Calendar Year 2025 is seeing a gradual phase-out of p-type products. While a few new products have been added to the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, the trend remains negative overall. Only 2 of the 26 tracked products remain in the positive territory for the year.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
