
Calendar Week 28 was an overall positive one for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, with 5 products across 3 categories registering price increases, and only one product seeing a Week-on-Week (WoW) decline.
Granular silicon gave back its gains from CW27, while Chinese n-type silicon rose 1.4% WoW.
After consecutive declines in CW25 & CW26, n-type wafer prices gained mid-single-digits to low-double-digit percentages in CW28.
TOPCon n-type 182 mm cells were up 2.2% WoW, while p-type cells remain absent for the second week running.
All listed module types maintained their prices in CW28.
Solar glass prices were flat in CW28, following a week of steep declines.
Calendar Year 2025 is seeing a gradual phase-out of p-type products. While a few new products have been added to the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, the trend remains negative overall. Only 2 of the 26 tracked products remain in the positive territory for the year.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
