

The TaiyangNews PV Price Index recorded no changes in Calendar Week 22, bringing a prolonged period of declines to a halt.
Polysilicon prices are down by low double digits month-on-month (MoM), with year-to-date (YtD) declines ranging from 23.0% to 33.3%.
Wafers remain the only category that is flat to slightly positive MoM. However, YtD declines are still in the mid- to high-20% range.
The cell category is down by 1.5% to 2.0% MoM, while YtD declines range from 10.8% to 12.2%.
Module prices are down 0.4-2.3% MoM.
The 2 solar glass variants have remained stable since their declines of 5.1% (3.2 mm) and 10.2% (2.0 mm) in CW17.
The TaiyangNews PV Price Index was unchanged week-on-week in CW22. For the year, polysilicon and wafer products have declined by at least 23%, while cells and solar glass are down between 7.5% and 14.8%. Modules remain the only segment still in positive territory so far in CY2026.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
