TaiyangNews PV Price Index: CW24 2026

The TaiyangNews PV Price Index remained flat in CW24 after a decline in CW23, except for a decline in one cell type. 

Polysilicon prices for the week 24 and week-on-week (WoW) remain unchanged but show a decline in month-on-month (MoM) in the sub-single digit range. In a year-to-date (YtD) comparison, all polysilicon products and prices fell by 25% to 35% range.

While the actual wafer prices for the week and WoW have not changed, the n-type 130 um 210 mm stayed positive in MoM comparison, though meager. On the same metric, the 182 mm price has not changed, while the 210R price is down by 0.5%. YtD decline continued in the mid- to high-20% range. 

Most cell categories stayed flat, except for bifacial 210R TOPCon, which exceeded 24.3% efficiency, showing a 1.6% WoW decline. All cell categories have seen a 16% to 17% year-to-date price decrease. 

Prices for all module types remained flat in CW24. However, the MoM comparison indicates a declining trend across all module types, ranging from about 0.9% to 4.4%. However, the year-to-date (YtD) is positive, ranging from 5.3% to 10.6%. 

Prices of both the glass variants, 2.0 mm and 3.2 mm, remain stable since the decline in both categories in CW17m, and the price drop is considerable with YtD comparison – 7.5% to 14%. 

The WoW PV Price Index remains largely consistent with an exception in one of the cell categories in CW24. The index shows YtD decline in all the categories except modules, which has been the trend in CY2026.

The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
