Calendar Week 29 brought very few changes to the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, with price movements limited to a single category.
Polysilicon prices remained unchanged for the third consecutive week.
The wafer category was also unchanged week-on-week (WoW), following declines of 1.7-3.3% in CW28.
While flat WoW, the cell category has recorded double-digit declines month-on-month (MoM) — the steepest among all listed categories.
TOPCon bifacial 182 mm modules and China Project Price (≥615W) were the only products to record changes this week, declining by 2.9% and 0.7% WoW, respectively.
The two solar glass variants have seen no changes to their prices since CW17.
After sharp declines in the early part of the year, the general pace of price declines in the TaiyangNews PV Price Index has eased in recent weeks. Year-to-date (YtD), polysilicon and wafer products have lost at least a quarter of their value, while cells and solar glass are down by between 7.5% and 28.9%. Modules remain the only segment still in positive territory overall in CY2026, although one module type slipped into negative territory last week.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
