

The TaiyangNews PV Price Index continues to see meaningful price increases into Calendar Week 3 of 2026, especially in the cell and module categories.
The polysilicon category remains unchanged, as has been the case since CW41 2025.
Wafer prices were flat week-on-week (WoW).
The 3 TOPCon cell types all posted identical WoW increases of 7.9%.
The 4 TOPCon bifacial module types saw increases ranging from 4.5% to 11.6%, while China Project Price for ≥595W and ≥615W modules were up 2.8% and 1.3%, respectively.
The 2 solar glass variants were stable WoW.
Calendar Year 2026 has started off reasonably well for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index, with 11 products logging price increases in the first 3 weeks of the year, with none registering decreases.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
