

Calendar Week 31 was relatively quiet for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index.
After recording declines across all product types last week, the polysilicon segment was unchanged week-on-week (WoW).
The wafer segment also remained stable WoW.
The cell category recorded its first price increase since CW5, with the TOPCon n-type 182 mm cell gaining 3.8% WoW.
In the modules category, 2 products recorded low-single-digit price declines: TOPCon bifacial 182 mm fell by 1.5%, while China Project Price (≥595W) declined by 3.5% WoW.
The two solar glass variants have seen no price changes since CW17.
Year-to-date (YtD), polysilicon, wafer, and cell products have lost more than a quarter of their value, while solar glass is down by between 7.5% and 14.8%. Modules remain the only segment still in positive territory overall in CY2026, although 2 module types are now in negative territory.
The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
