Canadian solar panel manufacturer Silfab Solar has made changes to its senior executive team, bringing in former executive from Panasonic Solar to lead its staffing growth. Renee Terreri has come in as Silfab's corporate director of Human Resources.

Silfab said Terreri was responsible for ramping up Panasonic Solar's giga factory in Buffalo, New York in her previous assignment, and was playing a key role in hiring high performing workers and setting a results-oriented workplace culture. At Silfab Terreri will bring her domestic and international management experience of having managed human resources departments in other companies.

Along with Terreri's appointment, Silfab has also promoted its existing team members Treff MacDonald to the COO position, and Itai Suez to CTO level. These appointments will support the company's 'continued expansion' in the wake of 'increasing demand' for its solar PV modules, the company added.

CTO Suez has been with Silfab since June 2019 when he joined as vice president of Product Development, and has 'extensive experience in the development of several disruptive technologies that have permanently transformed PV module and system design'.

According to Silfab, together both MacDonald and Suez have contributed to the company's rollout of its highest rated PV modules in North America.

"Silfab continues to invest and expand in USA manufacturing and technology to meet our growing customer needs. Renee's background of rapid growth and understanding of building quality facilities operated by dedicated people are critical to Silfab's future success," said Silfab Solar CEO Paolo Maccario. "The promotions of Treff and Itai further solidifies an exceptional executive team that will lead Silfab into our next period of outstanding growth."

In February 2021, Silfab Solar launched what it called as its 'most durable' solar panel manufactured in the US for residential solar segment (see Silfab New 21.4% Module For North American Homes).
