Canada headquartered solar panel manufacturer Silfab Solar, Inc has announced the appointment of ex-Ernst & Young (EY) senior resource Rob Jessen as the company's new chief financial officer (CFO) with effect from February 23, 2022.

Jessen worked with EY for 25 years where he became a senior partner and leader of the Global Energy Sector. Silfab said the company was consulting Jessen on financial strategy and organizational structure till recently.

At Silfab, Jessen will focus on strengthening the financial and accounting department for future growth and investment opportunities.

He will replace Hanna Ayyad at the Canadian manufacturer who served as the company's CFO since August 2014. Bidding adieu to Ayyad, Silfab CEO Paolo Maccario said he will continue to support and assist the Silfab executive team over the next few months to ensure smooth and successful transition.

Silfab caters to the North American solar market through its production facilities in Bellingham and Burlington in the US from where it rolls out back-contact and mono PERC PV modules for residential and commercial segments.
