• China-based Trina Solar launches TrinaPro, a ‘smart’ PV solution for utility-scale ground-mounted PV systems
  • The new solution, developed in cooperation with Huawei Technologies, Sungrow Power and Nclave Renewable, is also intended for floating PV on reservoirs, beaches and lakes

China’s Trina Solar Ltd. has designed a PV solution for utility-scale ground-mounted PV systems, which was designed to increase energy generation by 10 to 30%. Called TrinaPro, it is also applicable for floating PV solutions on reservoirs, lakes and beaches.

TrinaPro is a PV package, which includes a combination of Trina Solar’s solar modules, solar tracker systems or floating systems and inverters. Trina emphasizes that its TrinaPro is characterized by ‘premium components, optimized system integration and smart O&M interconnection.’

Trina developed its new solution in cooperation with Chinese inverter companies Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. and Sungrow Power Supply Co. Ltd. as well as Spanish tracker supplier Nclave Renewable SL.

The company claims that this new solution can improve system stability with higher power generation and lower balance of system (BOS) costs to reduce the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE). It can analyze and process data from the cloud, thereby helping the system to run smoothly and efficiently.

Earlier this year, Trina revealed that its global module shipments in 2017 ranged between 9 and 9.2 GW (see Trina Shipped Over 9 GW Modules In 2017).
