Anker SOLIX showcased its Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro series plug-in home storage system at the show
This ESS offers a storage capacity range of 5 to 30 kWh by vertically stacking up to 6 battery banks of 5 kWh each
According to the company, it is expected to be commercially available in July 2026
Anker SOLIX, a provider of plug-in balcony PV and storage systems, showcased its latest Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro series energy storage system (ESS) at Intersolar Europe 2026, with a particular focus on Germany.
The product integrates a hybrid inverter and modular 314 Ah LFP battery banks into a single enclosure. The company says that this ‘All-in-One’ home ESS can be directly plugged into a domestic socket via a Schuko plug rather than connecting to a house’s main panel. In line with the country’s latest plug-in balcony PV feed-in limit, it can deliver up to 800 W (single-phase) power to the socket, which can be consumed captively or the excess exported to the grid. At the same time, the inverter, equipped with 4 MPPT channels that support 4 to 12 PV modules, can support a PV capacity of up to 5 kW. This aligns with the latest VDE 4105(26) standard, which simplifies the registration of balcony storage to below 7 kW and thus breaks the PV input ceiling limit of 2 kW. This PV capacity is used to charge the storage during the daytime.
On the storage side, the system is integrated with a 5 kWh battery bank, or a base unit, which is enough to power an average household overnight. For prosumers with a heat pump and higher demand, the system can stack 5 more batteries vertically, with a cumulative storage capacity of 30 kWh. According to the company, a 5 kWh base unit can be fully charged either by available PV generation or grid power within 2 hours. This charged system switches to off-grid mode within 10 ms of a grid outage and is designed to deliver up to 2.5 kW emergency backup to household loads.
These complex operations are handled by the system’s built-in AI-assisted energy management system (EMS) software, which can also be downloaded as an app. It dynamically controls the charging and discharging of storage in line with real-time weather conditions, household demands, and electricity tariffs.
According to Michelle Kreysig, EU Regional Senior PR Manager at Anker SOLIX, the Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro will be commercially available from July 2026.
