Key Takeaways
  • Ashbee Energy showcased its Magnum BESS 261kWh-Liquid Cooled Hybrid Cabinet for C&I use cases

  • This product includes a 261 kWh storage section and an external PCS that connects a PV array and storage, while facilitating grid pairing

  • The company also promoted its 50 kW/100 kWh Magnum Marg Shakti ESS for use at highway toll booths

Ashbee Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd., an India-based energy storage system (ESS) manufacturer, displayed its Magnum BESS 261kWh-Liquid Cooled Hybrid Cabinet at The Battery Show India 2026, held from October 22 to 24 in Greater Noida.

As the name suggests, the cabinet-based product has a rated storage capacity of 261 kWh and employs a liquid-cooling system for thermal regulation. The cabinet measures 1,850 × 1,350 × 2,100 mm (W × D × H) and uses five 52.25 kWh battery packs in a vertical arrangement. Each pack uses 314 Ah lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) cells. The product datasheet specifies a rated DC system voltage of 832 V. This cabinet also includes a 3-phase hybrid inverter (external) with a rated power output range of 75 kW to 100 kW for direct connection of a PV array and the storage to the grid at 400 V (AC). The inverter supports a PV capacity range of 150 kW to 250 kW via 10 built-in MPPTs, each rated at 42 A DC and a voltage range of 150 to 950 V. The PV and battery inputs are connected to a common DC bus to make a DC-coupled PV + storage system that interfaces with the grid. This product weighs 2.6 tons, has an IP55 rating, and targets commercial & industrial (C&I) applications.

The company also highlighted its latest Magnum Marg Shakti ESS, which is aimed at reducing highway toll plazas’ reliance on diesel generator (DG) sets in an unreliable grid environment. Equipped with LFP battery packs, it offers 100 kWh of total storage capacity. It also includes a 50 kW PCS to interface with the grid and connect to a DG set. During a grid outage, the ESS switches to emergency backup mode within a few milliseconds, sharing the connected loads with the DG. According to the datasheet, it can deliver a full-load backup of 30 kW or 50 kW for up to 3.15 and 2 hours, respectively, at corresponding C-rates. This ESS is commercially available across India.
