Key Takeaways
  • BLUETTI’s open-source platform can integrate smart home platforms with balcony PV + storage systems

  • It can also support integration with other companies’ EMSs, like Solar Manager and Enjoyelec

  • Apart from these functions, it lets its users choose between retailers who provide dynamic electricity tariffs

Solar-plus-storage solution provider BLUETTI promoted an open energy ecosystem that integrates its plug-in balcony PV systems, residential energy storage systems (ESS), and digitized real-time energy management with home energy ecosystem at Intersolar Europe 2026.

Focused on home energy independence, the company’s residential ESSs (see Home Backup Power Solutions for Outages & Disasters | BLUETTI) and balcony PV portfolio integrate with smart home platforms, such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Home Assistant. The last of the three is an open-source home automation platform that runs locally on devices such as mini-PCs and home servers. Users with BLUETTI’s balcony PVs, such as EP2000, EP760, Balco 260, and Balco 500, plus the storage systems, can get real-time battery state of charge (SoC) information from Alexa or instruct it to start EV charging when solar generation exceeds 5 kW via Google Home. They can also get an energy dashboard with real-time data from Home Assistant.

In addition to these smart platforms, the integrated balcony PV + ESS platform supports third-party home energy management systems (EMS), including Solar Manager and Enjoyelec. These software solutions help prosumers manage real-time consumption and battery charging/discharging in response to real-time demands.

According to BLUETTI, these products are compatible with more than 800 global electricity retailers that offer dynamic electricity tariffs, such as Octopus Energy, Tibber, Ostrom, Rabot Energy, allowing users to participate in energy arbitrage. It adds that its EP2000 and EP760 series Balcony PV plus residential ESS can integrate heat pumps with smart grid compatibility, enabling real-time balancing between home heating and energy management.

BLUETTI’s Head of Sales DACH, Henrik, said, “Through an open ecosystem approach, we are enabling our customers to gain more value from renewable energy and move closer to energy independence.”
