Key Takeaways
  • EcoFlow displayed Alps, its first C&I storage product, at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026

  • The DC-coupled system uses 20 kWh battery modules and spans 29.9 kW to 80 kW and 60 kWh to 261 kWh

  • The company also unveiled a new 8 kWh battery pack for residential ESS platforms

EcoFlow displayed its Alps commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage system (ESS), an 8 kWh residential battery, and OASIS 3.0 energy management platform at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026. The products were announced in June 2026 before being shown in the UK.

Alps is EcoFlow’s first C&I storage product. Built around 20 kWh battery modules, the range covers 60 kWh to 261 kWh of storage and 29.9 kW to 80 kW of AC output. EcoFlow offers stackable modules for on-site assembly and pre-built 120 kWh battery towers. The company says plug-and-play connections between the batteries and hybrid inverter reduce external wiring. PV and storage connect to a common DC bus through the hybrid inverter. EcoFlow claims this DC-coupled architecture improves round-trip efficiency by more than 2 percentage points compared with an AC-coupled configuration. Alps targets PV self-consumption, backup power and electricity-cost management for commercial sites.

For residential segments, EcoFlow unveiled its new 8 kWh battery pack, targeting system design flexibility improvement. With this higher storage capacity, users can configure its storage system with fewer battery units; however, the company’s PR didn’t mention the reference product for this comparison. The company also indicates this battery size as a ‘larger format’. But EcoFlow’s website shows its existing product portfolio uses either 3.6-, 6-, or 10 kWh battery packs. Thus, the company’s above comparisons can’t be corroborated with clarity. Nevertheless, this inclusion (8 kWh) surely improves the system or product designer’s flexibility to closely match the storage capacity to how much PV energy a user generates, how much it consumes, and future expansion potential, the company noted. Such a closer match can help users better use of every kWh of stored energy as part of a smart and connected home energy ecosystem, it added.

EcoFlow also promoted OASIS 3.0, which analyses electricity tariffs, weather forecasts, consumption patterns and device status to automate charging and discharging. The platform can coordinate PV, storage, EV charging and compatible household equipment.

Craig Bilboe, Head of Residential, UK at EcoFlow, said: “Our new 8 kWh battery is about making higher-capacity residential storage simpler. More capacity within each module gives installers greater flexibility when designing systems for increasingly electrified homes, without simply adding more and more individual battery units. At the same time, Alps represents an exciting new chapter for EcoFlow. We’ve built a significant residential energy portfolio, and we’re now bringing that experience into C&I with a modular platform capable of supporting much larger energy requirements.”
