

EVE Energy launched its Mr. Giant 3.0 series BESS at the show
The company says that the BESS replaces its immediate predecessor’s 628 Ah cells with the new 702 Ah cells
These cells have a life of up to 10,000 cycles
With growing demand for dispatchable clean energy and rising land costs, battery energy storage system (BESS) providers are aiming to pack additional storage capacity into the same footprint.
EVE Energy, a BESS maker, unveiled the third iteration of its 20-ft container-based Mr. Giant series, Mr. Giant 3.0, at SNEC 2026. It uses 702 Ah LFP cells, compared to Mr. Giant 2.0’s 628 Ah cells, while maintaining the same prismatic form factor. This helps the BESS exceed its immediate predecessor's storage capacity of 6.9 MWh; however, the company's press release didn't divulge the rated capacity. According to the company, the volumetric energy density of each cell reaches 400 Wh/L. Regarding battery thermal management, the company says that it features real-time cell-to-cell temperature variance equalization technology. This tight control of temperature delta helps to achieve a guaranteed life of up to 10,000 cycles. Compared to the Mr. Giant 2.0 BESS-based 200 MW utility storage project, it reduces system footprint by 6% while reducing CapEX, says EVE Energy.
The company also displayed 2 types of 628 Ah LFP cells, LF702S and LF648K, with identical form factors for battery makers.
