Fox ESS’s latest G-MAX-Plus series C&I ESS is equipped with a 125 kW hybrid PCS that supports PV and DG supply, making a collocated PV + storage system
It switches to emergency backup mode within 10 ms of a grid outage
The company also showcased its PQ-H3-ULTRA series 3-phase hybrid inverter in combination with a 10 kWh battery stack
Fox ESS, a Chinese PV plus storage system provider, showcased its latest G-MAX-Plus series commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage system (ESS) at Intersolar Europe. During the TaiyangNews team’s visit to the booth, the company’s Senior Product Manager, Junning Xu, emphasized the built-in hybrid power conversion system (PCS) as the key feature of this product. This ESS comprises 4 lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery packs, each with a capacity of 60.29 kWh, for a total storage capacity of 241 kWh. It can be coupled with both AC and DC energy sources. According to Xu, the ESS is equipped with 16 PV string channels, facilitating a collocated PV + storage system. Besides AC-coupling with a 3-phase mains supply, it has built-in diesel generator (DG) terminals to support PV + DG off-grid operation. It switches to off-grid mode within 10 ms of a grid outage and provides up to 2 hours of backup power.
Xu shared that the product is commercially available and that the company has shipped it to Ukraine.
Fox ESS also promoted its latest residential 3-phase hybrid inverter, the PQ-H3-ULTRA series, at the show. This 10 kW inverter can be integrated with an external 10 kWh battery stack, making a 10 kW/10 kWh ESS platform. Xu claimed that the product is easy to install, has a compact design, and has high reliability.
