Gautam Solar displayed its LFP battery, featuring a life of 3,000 cycles and a 5-year product warranty, at the show
The company also showcased its liquid-cooled and cabinet-based ESS with a higher guaranteed life of up to 11,000 cycles
A 20-ft containerized BESS was also part of the showcase
Gautam Solar Limited, an India-based PV module maker that has expanded into energy storage systems (ESSs), showcased its 5 kWh battery for residential applications at The Battery Show India 2026.
The battery consists of prismatic lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) cells housed in a 653 × 400 × 183 mm (L × W × H) IP55-rated enclosure. It has a rated nominal voltage of 51.2 V and a current-carrying capacity of 100 Ah. It features a built-in battery management system (BMS) and has a nominal charging voltage of 56 V, with maximum and minimum cut-off limits of 57.6 and 44.8 V, respectively. Its corresponding maximum charging current is 50 A, and its maximum discharge current is 100 A. The product datasheet specifies a guaranteed battery life of up to 3,000 cycles under testing conditions of 25°C, 0.5C/0.5C, 95% DOD. For safety, it features under- and over-voltage, overcurrent, short-circuit, and temperature protection. According to the company, up to 16 units can be connected in parallel for a cumulative capacity of around 80 kWh. The company also offers a 5-year product warranty.
The company also displayed its 1,000 × 1,350 × 2,380 mm (W × D × H) cabinet-based ESS at the show. Equipped with five 52.2 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery units and assembled vertically, it is rated for a total capacity of 261 kWh. It uses 3.2 V and 314 Ah LFP cells in individual battery packs. The product datasheet specifies the cell life of up to 11,000 cycles at 25°C, 0.5P, and 70% end-of-life (EoL). The storage section has a rated nominal voltage of 832 V and an operating voltage range of 715 to 923 V. The ESS also includes a bidirectional power conversion system (PCS), with a rated capacity of 125 kW at 380 / 400 V (AC), placed inside the cabinet for grid pairing. It has an overload capacity of 137.5 kVA and supports frequency, voltage, and ramp-rate control. It uses a liquid-cooling + HVAC system for thermal regulation and includes safety functions such as overtemperature, overcharge or discharge, and short-circuit protection, among others. It weighs up to 2.7 tons.
Gautam Solar also promoted a 20 ft container-based 5 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) targeted at the country's utility segment.
