Key Takeaways
  • HiTHUM promoted its 314 Ah and 587 Ah cells for stationary ESS, and the 1,175 Ah cell for long-duration utility operations at the show

  • The maximum charging/discharging cycles are more than 13,000 for the 314 Ah and 1,175 Ah cells, and 11,000 cycles for the 587 Ah cell

  • The company also displayed its cabinet-based C&I ESS and 20 ft containerized BESS for utility applications

HiTHIUM, a well-known PV + storage system and battery cell maker, presented its prismatic lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) cell lineup at the REI 2026 exhibition in India.

The company’s showcase included the ESS Cell 314 Ah, with a nominal storage capacity of 314 Ah, a rated energy of 1.004 kWh, and a voltage of 3.2 V. It is suitable for stationary energy storage system (ESS) applications at a 0.5P charging/discharging rate. Measuring 174.70 × 71.70 × 207.11 mm (L × W × H) and weighing 5.6 kg, it is rated for gravimetric and volumetric energy densities of more than 173.2 Wh/kg and 382.6 Wh/L, respectively.

The company also displayed ∞Cell 587 Ah and ∞Cell 1175 Ah LFP cells for stationary and long-duration ESS use cases, respectively. Compared with the cell above, the ∞Cell 587 Ah is larger (286 × 73.50 × 216.3 mm) and rated for a higher storage capacity of 587 Ah, with a corresponding nominal charging/discharging rate of 0.5P. Its nominal storage energy is 1.87 kWh. Weighing 9.93 kg, the product datasheet lists a gravimetric energy density of 185 Wh/kg and a volumetric energy density of 413 Wh/L.

Among the showcased battery cells, ∞Cell 1175 Ah is the largest, measuring 580.44 × 75.22 × 216.31 mm. It has the highest nominal storage capacity of 1,175 Ah and an energy of 3.76 kWh, while its rated charging/discharging rate is slower at 0.25P for long-duration backup. The product datasheet lists a gravimetric energy density of ≥180 Wh/kg and a volumetric energy density of ≥400 Wh/L.

In terms of guaranteed cycles, the 587 Ah cell is rated for the lowest number, more than 11,000, while the 314 Ah and 1,175 Ah cells are rated for more than 13,000.

Equipped with the 1,175 Ah LFP cells, the company showcased its 20-ft containerized (6,058 × 2,438 × 2,896 mm) ∞Power 6.25 MWh 4h battery energy storage system (BESS) for utility projects. This DC block stores up to 6.25 MWh of energy at a nominal output voltage of 1,331.2 V. It is rated for charging/discharging periods of up to 4 hours at 0.25P. It lists its maximum DC round-trip efficiency at more than 95% and supports both string and central power conversion systems (PCS).

Among the displays, there was also the company's ESS Cabinet 125 kW/261 kWh for C&I applications. It comprises five battery packs, each rated at 52.2 kWh, and uses 314 Ah cells, for a total storage capacity of 261 kWh. This storage section is rated for a nominal voltage level of 832 V and a charging/discharging rate of 0.5P. In addition to storage, this 1,350 × 1,000 × 2,380 mm cabinet accommodates a 125 kW bidirectional PCS for grid-pairing (400 V AC). It employs a circulating liquid coolant for thermal regulation.
