Key Takeaways
  • Jackery displayed its modular SolarVault 3 home energy storage systems at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026

  • SolarVault 3 Pro and Pro Max accept direct PV input, while Pro Max AC is a battery-only model for adding storage to an existing PV system

  • A SolarVault 3 stack expands from 2.52 kWh to 15.12 kWh, while the Explorer series portable systems come with up to 12 kWh

Solar-plus-storage supplier Jackery displayed its SolarVault 3 residential energy storage systems and Explorer Plus v2 portable power stations at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026 in Birmingham.

SolarVault 3 is a modular range for residential PV and storage applications. Explorer Plus v2 serves a different market, providing portable power and emergency backup.

The SolarVault 3 range has 3 configurations: Pro, Pro Max and Pro Max AC. The Pro and Pro Max connect directly to PV arrays, with 4 MPPTs supporting up to 4 kW of DC input. Pro Max provides up to 2.5 kW of rated AC output, compared with 1.2 kW for Pro. Pro Max AC has no direct PV input. Instead, the 2.5 kW AC-coupled unit adds battery storage to an existing PV system.

Each SolarVault 3 base unit contains a 2.52 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. Up to 5 BP2500 expansion batteries, also rated at 2.52 kWh each, can be added for 15.12 kWh per stack. Jackery rates the cells for 6,000 cycles to 70% remaining capacity. The IP65-rated systems carry a 10-year warranty. Jackery's Ark AI energy management system supports PV self-consumption and tariff-based charging and discharging.

The Explorer Plus v2 series includes the Explorer 1000 Plus v2 and Explorer 2000 Plus v2. The portable units use Jackery's Cell-to-Body 2.0 architecture. Compared with the previous generation, the 1,024 Wh Explorer 1000 Plus v2 is 44% smaller and 26% lighter, while the 2,048 Wh Explorer 2000 Plus v2 is 60% smaller and 33% lighter, according to the company. Their capacities can be expanded to 11 kWh and 12 kWh, respectively. Both switch to backup operation within 10 ms of a grid outage.

Head of Europe at Jackery, Brady Sun, said: "As European energy needs evolve, we are expanding beyond portable power to provide intelligent, safety-first home energy ecosystems that empower UK households to take control of their clean energy future."
