Pramac showcased its BSO MAX 125/261 C&I ESS at the show
It combines a storage section with a total capacity of 261 kWh and a 125 kW inverter in a 950 × 1,500 × 2,480 mm cabinet
The ESS is designed to deliver up to 125 kW full-load backup power for around 2 hours
Pramac, a part of Generac Group, highlighted its cabinet-based BSO MAX 125/261 commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage system (ESS) at its Solar & Storage Live UK 2026 booth in Birmingham.
Measuring 950 × 1,500 × 2,480 mm (L × W × H), the cabinet integrates five vertically stacked lithium-iron-phosphate battery units, an inverter, an energy management system, and a battery management system. The storage section includes 52.25 kWh battery packs (each rated at 314 Ah), for a total storage capacity of 261 kWh and a rated nominal operating voltage of 832 V. The inverter is rated at 125 kW of full-load power output (3-phase). It supports battery charging/discharging at a 0.5C rate for around 2 hours or until the battery reaches its discharge limit. The product datasheet claims that this storage section is guaranteed for a life of up to 8,000 cycles (charging/discharging) at test conditions of 95% depth-of-discharge and 70% state-of-health.
The ESS uses a liquid coolant (50:50 water and ethylene glycol) to extract heat from cold plates placed on the rear of individual battery packs. It regulates cell-to-cell temperature delta within an allowable limit during operation. The datasheet specifies an operational temperature range of -25 to +55°C and an ingress protection rating of IP55.
BSO MAX 125/261 supports a wide range of grid-interactive energy management functions depending on user demands, regional regulations, and available storage capacity. This range includes self-consumption optimization, peak shaving, time-based charging/discharging, and energy arbitrage.
