SHOTO showcased its DP30 AIDC ESS for a rated full-load DC power output of 326 kW for a period of 10 to 30 minutes
The company also presented its DP60 AIDC ESS, rated at 630 kW for 5 to 10 minutes
The former lists its nominal discharge rate at 6C and the latter at 10C
China-based energy storage system (ESS) maker SHOTO (Shuangdeng Group/China Shoto) displayed its DP30 and DP60 ESSs at The Battery Show 2026 in India to address millisecond-level power spikes in AI data centers (AIDCs).
These two products can be classified according to their rated backup duration ranges. With a backup duration of 10 to 30 minutes, DP30 falls into the longer backup duration category. It comprises 12 lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery units, each rated at 120 Ah, for a total capacity of 73.7 kWh and a voltage of 614.4 V. It measures 600 × 800 × 2,000 mm (W × D × H) with a footprint of 0.48 m², making this 'high' energy density ESS suitable for installation in space constraint AIDCs. The ESS can discharge up to 326 kW of power (DC) at a rapid 6C rate to the common DC bus in the event of power spikes, acting as a real-time power buffer for AIDC infrastructure. It also supports capacity expansion to up to 1.179 MWh by connecting 16 units in parallel to support dynamic AI workloads, such as MW-scale GPUs.
DP60, rated for a shorter backup duration of 5 to 10 minutes, also includes 12 LFP battery modules rated at 125 Ah each, for a slightly higher storage capacity of 76.8 kWh. While the company specifies the same product size and footprint, it offers a higher discharge power of 630 kW at a 10C rate. The company says it uses two separate circuits for charging and discharging. For capacity scale-up, it also supports up to 16 units connected in parallel, for a cumulative storage capacity of 1.228 MWh.
Both products share operating temperature ranges of 0 to +40 °C (charging) and -20 to +45 °C (discharging), along with air-based thermal regulation. DP30 weighs about 860 kg, while DP60 is 370 kg heavier; both are suitable for indoor installations.
