Sunwoda’s latest SunESS H Pro series ESS offers a storage capacity range of 10 to 120 kWh and is suitable for residential and small commercial applications
The company also displayed the SunESS H StackPlus series ESS with 48 kWh of storage capacity, which can be further expanded to 3.32 MWh
Among the displayed products was the company’s SunESS Power Pro+, which facilitates integration of PV + storage + EV charging
Sunwoda Energy, an energy storage system (ESS) provider, launched its latest integrated platform, SunESS H series, to unify energy storage, charging, and AI-assisted energy management.
The company’s SunESS H Pro and SunESS H StackPlus series products consist of its self-developed 314 Ah lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) cell-based battery packs. Each cell has a guaranteed life of up to 10,000 cycles. By vertically stacking and electrically connecting 10 battery packs, the former can deliver a storage capacity range of 10 to 120 kWh. The company says that it is suitable for residential and small commercial consumers in Europe for energy security and emergency backup operations. The latter, with its 4 × 12 kWh LFP battery packs mounted one above the other, offers a storage capacity of up to 48 kWh. According to the company, this capacity can be further expanded to 3.32 MWh; however, its press release didn’t provide many details about the expansion architecture. It also allows the use of old and new batteries.
Built to connect PV storage with EV charging, Sunwoda unveiled its SunESS Power Pro+ series ESS at the show. It integrates battery storage and a new UT50 series hybrid inverter in a single enclosure, offering a 20-120 kWh/20-50 kW ESS. The company noted that the inverter seamlessly switches to emergency backup mode after a grid outage and supports capacity expansion by connecting multiple units in parallel. It is also compatible with the 2 ESSs described above. Its internal design facilitates wire-free installation. For EV charging, it is paired with SunESS Power Wallbox, an integrated smart EV charging and energy management system. It enables a coordinated balance among PV, storage, and EV charging in real time. At the same time, it can support heat pumps, generators, and existing PV systems via the AI-empowered energy management system (EMS) and mySunPan app, installed on the user’s device.
