Key Takeaways
  • TESVOLT showcased its TESVOLT TAYTAN series 62.5 kWh battery tower at the show

  • Its capacity can be expanded to up to 250 kWh by connecting 4 towers in parallel

  • The product is slated for commercial availability by the end of 2026

TESVOLT AG, a Germany-based battery storage system provider and integrator, showcased its latest product, TESVOLT TAYTAN, at Intersolar 2026.

Built for large residential or small commercial prosumers, it is equipped with up to 10 battery units, each rated at 6.25 kWh, stacked on top of one another, offering a storage capacity of up to 62.5 kWh. These batteries have a depth-of-discharge (DoD) of up to 100% or can use their full storage capacity. According to the company, the system offers a guaranteed life of up to 15,000 cycles with an end-of-life state-of-health (SOH) of 70% at a 0.5C charging or discharging rate. It is designed for a range of operating temperatures from -17 to +50°C and features a natural, circulating air-based cooling system. For capacity expansion, users can connect 4 battery towers (62.5 kWh each) in parallel (electrically) to a third-party hybrid inverter (e.g., SMA or Kostal), increasing the storage capacity to up to 250 kWh at the inverter's input.

For communication between batteries, inverters, and their built-in energy management system (EMS), an Internet of Things (IoT) gateway is employed. This device translates various industrial communication protocols, collects field data, and transmits it to cloud platforms, monitoring systems, or an EMS via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

This product is scheduled to be commercially available by the end of 2026.
