Key Takeaways
  • Voltra Energy's both at The Battery Show India 2026 featured VOLT LINK 261 ESS

  • The product consists of an LFP battery pack-based 261 kWh of storage in a vertical arrangement and a 125 kW PCS

  • The product datasheet specifies a maximum system RTE of 89% and a battery life of more than 8,000 cycles

Indian energy storage system (ESS) and hybrid inverter maker Voltra Energy introduced its VOLT LINK 261 ESS at The Battery Show India 2026, targeting the country's commercial & industrial (C&I) end users.

Measuring 1,050 × 1,350 × 2,400 mm (W × D × H), the ESS features five battery packs, each rated at 52.2 kWh and mounted on one another for a total storage capacity of 261 kWh within a voltage (DC) range of 728 to 936 V. Each pack consists of 314 Ah lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) cells. The product also integrates a 125 kW bidirectional power conversion system for grid pairing at 400 V. The batteries have a guaranteed life of more than 8,000 cycles (charging/discharging). During a grid outage, it switches to backup mode and provides up to 125 kW (3-phase) of emergency power for about 2 hours or until the battery reaches its discharge limit. The company claims the ESS is rated for a maximum round-trip efficiency (RTE) of 89% at the system level.

It uses liquid cooling for storage and forced-air cooling for the PCS to keep the cell-to-cell temperature variance within 3°C. The ESS has an operating temperature range of -25 to +55°C, an ingress protection rating of IP55, and an operating noise level below 75 dB.
