WHES showcased its C&I ESS lineup, covering small to large-scale prosumers
On the residential side, the company promoted its single and 3-phase ESS with storage capacities ranging from 19.9 kWh to 29.9 kWh
These products incorporate the company’s WHES OS energy management system
WHES, a provider of PV-plus-storage systems based in China, participated in the Solar & Storage Live UK 2026 exhibition in London. Its booth showcased a wide range of energy storage systems (ESS), targeted at the country’s residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) prosumers.
C&I Products
The company promoted its PC-mini ESS for small-scale C&I energy storage applications in remote locations with an unreliable grid power supply. Its storage capacity ranges from 57 kWh to 100 kWh with a corresponding 3-phase power output bandwidth of 29.5 kW to 50 kW. Although it can meet a wide range of power and storage needs, the product was primarily developed for off-grid operation. The company claims that the ESS becomes active (off-grid mode) within 10 ms of a grid outage. To maximize PV self-consumption, this ESS is engineered to allow up to 200% DC/AC oversizing relative to the rated AC capacity. It has a compact footprint of 0.89 m².
WHES offers its PC-G1 series ESS for European grid support and ancillary services. With its rated storage capacity of 233 kWh and power output of up to 100 kW, it can support peak shaving of a C&I user’s load profile. By discharging during peak demand rather than consuming from the grid, it achieves a flatter peak load demand curve. Also, the ESS supports time-of-use energy tariffs and flexible capacity expansion.
The company also showcased its PC-G2 series AC-coupled product, with storage and discharge capacity of up to 500 kWh for the country’s large-scale C&I prosumers. However, users can configure this ESS between 62.5 kW and 250 kW, depending on the load demand, with backup ranging from 8 hours (at 62.5 kW) to 2 hours (at 250 kW). According to the company, it comprises 306 Ah battery cells. Alongside this flexible backup capability, its capacity can be expanded to up to 3 MWh and 1.5 MW by connecting multiple ESS units in parallel.
Residential Products
On the residential storage side, WHES promoted its single-phase PP-S2 and 3-phase PP-T1 ESS. The former is rated for a maximum storage capacity of 19.9 kWh and a power output of up to 10 kW. By leveraging its built-in 16 A MPPT channel, the PV self-consumption is maximized. The company noted that the product can operate at full capacity at -20°C. In comparison, the PP-T1 is built to store up to 29.9 kWh with a corresponding AC output of 13 kW.
All of the company’s showcased ESSs are operated in real-time via the company’s energy management system, WHES OS.
