The Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has announced the date for its much awaited 1st renewable energy auction under the new remuneration framework.

UPNEDA had previously auctioned 1 GW capacity with the lowest winning tariff of INR 3.48 ($0.0506) per kWh, but soon after scrapped it. Now, it has auctioned 500 MW that it retendered – and the L1 tariff was much lower at INR 3.17 ($0.043) per kWh.
