Having concluded the first technology neutral auction for solar and wind power in December 2018, the Danish Energy Agency is planning the second part in 2019 and has invited feedback for its tender terms. Pictured is the Egeskov Castle in Denmark.

The 140 MW wind and solar power tender by Danish Energy Agency was oversubscribed, receiving total bids of 540 MW (260 MW for wind and 280 MW for solar), leading the agency to finally award higher than the original capacity to wind (165 MW) and solar.

The Danish Energy Agency launched a tender offering a total of 35 MW capacity for projects up to 1 MW solar PV capacity in September 2018. It has now awarded 19 MW in total to 8 bidders.
