Singapore’s Economic Development Board Seeks Proposals For 100 MW Floating Solar PV System For Private Sector Consumption; Will Accept Request For Information Proposals From Interested Companies Till January 25, 2019

Currently managed by Singapore’s Public Utilities Board (PUB), Kranji Reservoir holds promise for a floating PV installation. EDB says using a small surface area of the reservoir can yield up to 100 MW of floating PV capacity.

Belgium’s Flanders region has made its first move into floating solar power with an investment of €2 million ($2.29 million) in a company called Floating PV NV, which will develop floating solar power projects, starting with a five hectare project on a lake owned by Sibelco in Dessel.
