The Netherlands installed 2.933 GW of new solar PV capacity during 2020 making it the year with the highest amount of solar power capacity added during a single year since 2010, according to the latest report from Dutch New Energy Research (DNE Research).

The 15 MW Andijk located solar park (in the picture) is the second project Chint Solar/Astronergy’s has commissioned in 2018 in the Netherlands; the first was a 15.5 MW project switched on in the municipality of Veendam in March 2018.

With 700 MW of PV added in the Netherlands during 2017, the country’s cumulative installed PV capacity rose by 35% to 2.7 GW, up from 2 GW in 2016, according to the Dutch statistical office, the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS).
