The renewable energy arm of Indian utility NTPC Ltd, NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has launched tenders seeking EPC package with land for up to 1.1 GW solar PV capacity and balance of system (BOS) package of 1.255 GW for solar projects in India.

NTPC RE Limited, the wholly owned subsidiary of Indian utility NTPC, is gauging interest among solar module suppliers to enter into strategic tie-ups for close to 15 GW capacity, to be delivered over a minimum period of 5 years.
