Qcells, Heliene & Meyer Burger Orders Prompt Canadian Premium Sand To Expand Capacity

Canada headquartered solar glass supplier Canadian Premium Sand (CPS) is expanding its annual production capacity to 6 GW after signing off-take agreements with Hanwha Solutions Corporation, Heliene Inc and Meyer Burger Technology AG for a combined 62% of planned output.

As the US administration plans to boost the local solar PV integrated value chain, Qcells parent Hanwha Solutions Corporation has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Canadian Premium Sand (CPS) to secure patterned solar glass from the Canadian manufacturer.
