The Research Triangle Institute (RTI) through its Power Africa Off-grid Project (PAOP) is inviting applicants for grants to develop solar mini grids in Uganda to ensure safe and reliable electricity for refugees and host communities in off-grid regions.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has approved a project preparation grant of $2.3 million for decentralized power systems in rural and urban areas of Uganda. This grant is aimed at helping kick start future investments in such power systems.
