The UK’s Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has come out with guidelines for allocation round 4 (AR4) of its contracts for difference (CfD) scheme, calling it the ‘biggest-ever’ round of its flagship renewable energy scheme.

Onshore Wind & Solar PV To Compete For Contracts For Difference Support In UK As Government Confirms Their Participation In Allocation Round 4 To Be Announced In 2021
After having excluded solar PV and onshore wind from its previous three CfD auction rounds, the UK is now ready to accept it as an established technology. Solar PV will compete for CfD support in the AR4 auction round of 2021.
