The Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE) under the US Department of Energy (DOE) has offered a prize worth $5 million under American-Made Solar Prize Round 5, all to go to support US solar manufacturing.

During last year’s SETO FY 2018 funding program the US Department of Energie (DOE) selected 53 projects to award $53 million, while at this year’s program 75 projects made the cut for $128 million amount.

The 53 projects selected by US DOE for $53 million financial support are spread across 21 states along with the District of Columbia, and include PV research to increase grid resiliency in Puerto Rico.
