Following a week of price declines, Calendar Week 22 was relatively stable for the TaiyangNews PV Price Index. 

Prices for all polysilicon types listed saw declines WoW, ranging from -2.6% for the granular and reusable varieties, to -3.7% for the Chinese n-type. 

In contrast to CW21, all wafer types maintained their prices WoW in CW22. 

While prices for PERC cells were steady WoW, the TOPCon n-type variety was down -3.2% from CW21. 

As with cells, only the TOPCon bifacial modules saw price declines in CW22, down -2.3% WoW. 

Solar glass prices continue to be stable WoW after the 3.2 mm (thicker) variant saw a 2.0% increase in CW15. 

Even as global polysilicon maintains its price levels, prices for all other products listed in the TaiyangNews PV Price Index have seen considerable declines this year. The magnitude of declines is higher upstream—all polysilicon prices have crossed the -37.7% mark YtD. Among wafers, the n-type 182 mm variant has lost exactly half its value YtD, at -50.0%. Cell prices have registered up to a -37.5% decline YtD, while modules have been relatively stable so far this year, losing only up to -15.7%. 

The data refers to average product prices in China. The data was collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey PV Consulting.
