Breaking the pattern of a consistent few weeks of decline, there were no WoW price changes in the TaiyangNews PV Price Index for Calendar Week 23.
Polysilicon prices, while stable WoW, have seen mid-single-digit declines MoM, ranging from –5.0% for granular silicon to –6.0% for the Chinese n-type.
Wafers have seen the highest price declines MoM, ranging from -13.1% for p-type 210 mm to -22.3% for n-type 182 mm.
While PERC cells have declined in the -8%s MoM, the TOPCon n-type variety is down –20.0% during the period.
PERC module prices are down -3.6% to -4.6% MoM, while TOPCon bifacial module prices have declined -6.5% MoM.
Solar glass prices continue to be stable WoW after the 3.2 mm (thicker) variant saw a 2.0% increase in CW15.
While there were no WoW price changes in CW23, all products listed in the TaiyangNews PV Price Index have seen considerable declines this year. The magnitude of declines is higher upstream—all polysilicon prices have crossed the –37.7% mark YtD. Among wafers, the n-type 182 mm variant has lost exactly half its value YtD, at –50.0%. Cell prices have registered up to a –37.5% decline YtD, while modules have been relatively stable so far this year, losing only up to -15.7%.
