BAJ Solar’s Multiple Scenario PV Module Offerings At SNEC 2024

Established in 2022, BAJ Solar, a specialist in manufacturing and sales of high-efficiency n-type photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules, showcased its latest n-TOPCon cell-based multiple scenario PV modules at the SNEC 2024 event in Shanghai. As of June 2024, the company had 10 GW PV cell manufacturing capacity and 4 GW of PV module production capacity under construction.

Rooftop application

Speaking to TaiyangNews during the event, the company focused on its flagship 48 n-TOPCon cells-based 9R-48 series bifacial PV module for the residential application. The company reports that the 1,762 x 1,134 x 30 mm small-size module, featuring a 96-piece half-cell matrix, delivers a power output of up to 455 W and an efficiency of 22.77%. This commercially available module is primarily targeted for the European market. BAJ Solar attributes its high power and efficiency to its technological advancements in n-TOPCon cell technology, having achieved an average mass-production efficiency of 26.5%.

Incidentally, in the recently concluded SNEC leadership conversation with TaiyangNews, Dr. Haofeng Lu, CTO of BAJ Solar, showed clear pathways to boost the cell performance further (see BAJ Solar’s SNEC leadership conversation presentation here). The pathways are laser-localized patterning at the rear side of the cell, edge passivation after the cell slicing and bi-polar passivation TOPCon cell structure. The company offers 15 years of product and 30 years of performance warranty for this latest module.

Utility application

The company also displayed the 8S-72 182 series module, measuring 2,278 x 1,134 x 30 mm, for the utility application. This module, featuring 72 pieces of 182 mm size 16BB n-TOPCon cells, delivers a power output of 600 W and an efficiency of 23.23%, noted the company. The company says the module’s resilience in sustaining harsh environmental conditions is reflected in its 15-year product and 30-year linear power attenuation warranty.

Also on display was the company’s 9S-66 210N series module, which offers an option for high power requirements. This module with 66 pieces of 210N size 16BB n-TOPCon cells, boasts a power output of up to 710 W and an efficiency of 22.86%. BAJ Solar also offers 15 years of product and 30 years of linear power performance warranty for the utility-scale 2,384 x 1,303 x 33 mm size module.
