Key Takeaways
  • Beyondsun unveiled 4 solar modules at SNEC 2026 for different applications

  • The company’s all-black module is offered for residential applications, delivers a power output of 470 W and 23.2% efficiency

  • The ETFE-based module weighs around 9.6 kg and is designed for limited roof load-bearing capacity

  • For C&I and utility applications, Beyondsun offers high power and high efficiency modules

Chinese solar module manufacturer Beyondsun launched 4 modules for residential, utility, and commercial & industrial (C&I) applications. The module portfolio includes an all-black module, an ETFE ultra-lightweight module, and 2 modules based on large-size wafers, offering a power output of 650-740 W.

Beyondsun highlighted its all-black module for residential applications. The n-type TOPCon module features a dual-glass configuration and delivers a rated power output of 470 W with a module efficiency of 23.2%. According to the company, the modules can be adapted to various climatic conditions and are resistant to PID and salt spray, offering a 30-year service life.

The company also launched an ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene) based lightweight module. ETFE is a fluoropolymer film used as an alternative to glass in lightweight solar modules. According to Beyondsun, this module weighs 9.6 kg and is around 60% less than a conventional dual-glass module. It also offers a light transmittance of up to 92%. Together with the frameless design, the module is intended for applications with limited roof load-bearing capacity.

Beyondsun also showcased high-efficiency, high-power modules for utility and C&I applications. The 2 dual-glass modules for these segments offer power outputs of 650 W and 740 W, with a rated efficiency of 24.1%. The company says these modules, which are based on the large wafer format, are designed to reduce BOS costs and LCOE for power plants.
