BISOL has introduced its BISOL Duplex and BISOL Bifacial models for the European utility-scale PV market
These modules offer a common dimension, which is larger than the commercially available models

Slovenia-based PV module maker BISOL Group has expanded its G12R cell-based BISOL Premium module portfolio, aiming at Europe’s utility-scale market.
These are the BISOL Duplex and BISOL Bifacial models from its BGO series. Both modules are equipped with 120 G12R half-cut cells and are rated for a maximum power output of 580 W and an efficiency of 23.5%, respectively. The company claims a maximum mass-scale efficiency of 25.3% for the cells used in the modules, while not disclosing their origin in its press release. It, however, states that these modules are designed and manufactured in Europe.
In terms of physical configuration, these modules have a glass-to-backsheet configuration with 3.2 mm tempered glass. However, the former uses a white or black backsheet, while the latter incorporates a transparent one. Meanwhile, the bifacial model is rated for up to 80% bifaciality. According to the company, both products have the same dimensions of 2,177 × 1,134 × 35 mm, which are larger than their commercially available modules, which measure 1,975 × 1,134 x 35 mm and 1,762 × 1,134 × 30 mm.
From a safety perspective, these modules are certified to withstand the impact of 40 mm hailstones falling at 99.1 km/h without failure. Moreover, they can sustain a snow load of up to 5,400 Pa and a wind load of up to 2,400 Pa. The company offers a product warranty of up to 25 years and a performance warranty of up to 30 years for these products.
BISOL notes that these ‘Made-in-Europe' modules are suitable for Italy’s contracts for difference (CfD) based FERX auction.
