Key Takeaways
  • Citizen Solar unveiled its TOPCon module with a maximum efficiency of 23.69% and a power output range of 620 W to 640 W

  • These modules are rated based on a positive power binning method

  • This module’s commercial availability is targeted for January 2026

Indian PV module manufacturer Citizen Solar showcased its latest G12R TOPCon bifacial product at REI Expo 2025.

The module, featuring 132 G12R half-cut cells, offers a power output range of 620 W to 640 W and an efficiency of up to 23.69%. The company states that these modules are segregated and packed based on positive power binning (0 ~ + 5 Wp), ensuring each module leaves the factory at its rated or higher wattage. In addition, the TOPCon cells, which generally exhibit higher resilience to degradation like LID and LeTID compared to PERC-based counterparts, enable long-term stable module performance. This module is suitable for utility applications.

According to the company, this module is scheduled to start commercial production in January 2026. Citizen Solar’s annual PV module manufacturing capacity is also expected to expand to about 2.6 GW from 1.2 GW. The company is aiming to export these modules by FY2026.
