China-based Crown Advanced Material Co., Ltd. presented its PV encapsulation and backsheet solutions at Intersolar Europe 2026. The company focused on material solutions that address the European market’s demand for high-efficiency modules, distributed PV applications, and long-term outdoor reliability.
Crown showcased encapsulation solutions compatible with mainstream module production processes, including conventional soldering, low-temperature film-based interconnection, and adhesive dispensing. The company promoted its Actinia series mesh film for HJT modules, which it claims can reduce silver consumption by up to 45% and increase module power output by 3 W.
The company also displayed black, highly reflective backsheets for residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) rooftops, as well as building-integrated PV (BIPV) applications. These products are designed to combine a uniform module appearance with outdoor weather resistance.
In addition to the products highlighted at the exhibition, Crown’s portfolio includes the ISARD 2280 Light Conversion EVA film, according to the information provided for the latest TaiyangNews Market Survey Encapsulation Materials & Backsheet 2026. The product converts UV light below 380 nm into blue light, which the company says can increase module power generation by 1% to 1.5%.
The company also offers the ISARD 1280, a TPO-based encapsulant. Unlike conventional crosslinking POE films, this thermoplastic polyolefin-based product does not require crosslinking and supports lamination at a comparatively low temperature of 105-120°C. It offers a light transmittance of at least 91% between 380 and 1,100 nm and water absorption of ≤0.1 wt%.
The company displayed black, highly reflective backsheets for residential and C&I rooftops, as well as BIPV applications. Crown said its production bases in China and Vietnam support overseas manufacturing, shorter delivery cycles, and supply-chain resilience.
