Daqo showcased its electrical infrastructure and power electronics portfolio at SNEC 2026
The company highlighted an integrated MV step-up transformer solution housed in a 20-foot container
The containerized systems combine transformers, switchgear and optional PCS for renewable energy applications
Daqo New Energy is best known in the solar industry for its polysilicon manufacturing business. Less widely recognized, however, is the company's growing presence in the power electronics segment.
At the SNEC 2026, in Shanghai, Daqo displayed a wide range of its products in the power electronics category. Speaking with TaiyangNews, Ge Yinhua, France Country Manager of Daqo Electric Europe shared that Daqo has experience of about 15-16 years in electrical engineering with low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) systems. The company specializes in manufacturing transformers, MV and LV switch gears, breakers, and power conversion systems (PCS) among others.
The highlight at the exhibition at Daqo’s booth was an all-integrated MV step-up transformer that can reach 2.5 MW with PCS included, in a 20-foot container. The product is also available without PCS, with only the MV and LV parts, which can reach 11 MW in 20-foot container.
The integrated solution combines multiple electrical components including a step-up transformer, MV and LV switchgears, within a prefabricated containerized enclosure. Depending on the product type, these systems can support voltage levels of up to 35 kV and transformer capacities of up to 9,000 kVA.
