Key takeaways:
DhaSh PV has entered the interconnection ribbon and busbar market, expanding beyond its established junction box and connector business
The new DhaSh LYNC product is designed for compatibility with PERC, TOPCon, and HJT cell technologies, targeting next-generation module requirements
Domestic ribbon manufacturing supports India’s solar supply chain resilience, reducing import dependence and enabling export potential
Indian solar component manufacturer DhaSh PV Technologies Limited has announced its entry into the PV interconnection ribbon and busbar segment. Going beyond its PV junction boxes and connectors stronghold, the company has launched DhaSh LYNC, its latest interconnection ribbon and busbar.
According to the company, this product is designed to meet the evolving technical requirements of modern solar cell technologies. The conventional module designs that use various cell technologies present specific cell-interconnection requirements. The company states that DhaSh LYNC is compatible across multiple cell technologies such as PERC, TOPCon, and HJT. The company claims the product features high conductivity for minimizing resistive losses, precision surface coating for enhanced solderability, and process compatibility for demanding operating conditions, such as high-speed automated production lines. However, it has not revealed the numbers, and the spec sheet for this product is not publicly available as of the time of publishing this article.
DhaSh’s new manufacturing facility in Sira, Tumkur, Karnataka, has begun operations with a 6.5 GW capacity for interconnection ribbon and busbar production, with plans to scale to 25 GW by 2026.
It should be noted here that Indian manufacturers currently depend on imports, and DhaSh emphasizes that its new facility is a step toward independence.
Manjunath N Reddy, the founder and Managing Director of DhaSh PV, said, “Innovation is in our DNA. DhaSh LYNC is not just a product, it is a step forward in empowering the solar industry with reliable, efficient, and future-ready solutions. Our aim is to contribute meaningfully to India’s vision of becoming the global solar capital.”
