Dome Solar’s Helios RC3 is designed for solar carports and other PV canopies featuring purlins

Dome Solar, part of the Kingspan Group, presented its Helios RC3 mounting system at Intersolar Europe 2026. The company provides mounting systems for rooftop, ground-mounted PV installations, solar carports, and canopies.
Speaking to TaiyangNews, Anastassia Legendre, Export Director at Dome Solar, described the Helios RC3 as an integration system for solar carports and other PV canopies featuring purlins. The steel system uses 2 main profiles installed on the purlins. The modules are then slid into position from top to bottom and fixed with end brackets. Finally, a continuous clamping rail is fixed from underneath to hold the modules.
According to Legendre, installing from below reduces the need for installers to work above the canopy, thereby reducing the use of lifts or other specialized equipment. She added that the feedback from customers who have used the system has been positive, with customers terming the installation process ‘fast and simple’.
According to the company’s technical specifications, the Helios RC3 is compatible with metal and wooden frameworks and supports modules in portrait or landscape orientation. Depending on the module arrangement, the mounting system weighs between 3 and 4 kg/m².
The system combines aluminum and steel components. Its rails are made of Magnelis steel, which features a zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy coating for corrosion resistance. Dome Solar says the system can also be used in marine environments. The company supplies the rails according to the measurements of each project. Also, the components are delivered to the site pre-cut, eliminating the need for cutting during installation. It says the system can also be powder-coated according to the customer’s preferred RAL color.
