China-based smart residential energy storage solutions provider EcoFlow is set to promote its Stream AC 5000 at IFA 2026 in Berlin.
Earlier in June, the company launched the same product at one of Europe’s largest PV expos, The smarter E / Intersolar 2026. Compared to the previous products, Stream AC 5000 was developed with a focus on higher storage capacity, improved cooling, and an all-metal enclosure. The storage system uses a modular design and can be expanded vertically, increasing capacity without changing its form factor. The Stream AC 5000 is particularly designed for existing residential rooftop PV systems.
The Stream AC 5000 has a battery capacity of 5.024 kWh, with a rated cycle life of 10,000 cycles. The battery has a maximum charge and discharge power of 3 kW, while the main unit battery supports up to 2.5 kW for both charging and discharging. The system can support 3 kW AC charging input and can deliver up to 3 kW AC output in off-grid operation. When connected to the grid, the AC output is configured between 800 W and up to 3 kW depending on the load requirement. If the battery is fully charged or grid power is required, the system also provides a 3.6 kW bypass output for connected devices.
The system can operate between -20°C and 55°C and features battery self-heating with a low-temperature charging feature that activates at 10°C and below. Stream AC 5000 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and CAN connectivity for communication and system management, and has an IP65 ingress protection rating against dust and water. It measures 295 × 489 × 287 mm, weighs 44.6 kg, and comes with a 10-year warranty.
